Leh, a
high-desert city in the Himalayas, is the capital of the Leh region in northern
India’s Jammu and Kashmir state. Originally a stop for trading caravans, Leh is
now known for its Buddhist sites and nearby trekking areas.
Nubra is a
tri-armed valley located to the north east of Ladakh valley. Diskit the capital
of Nubra is about 150 km north from Leh town, the capital of Ladakh district,
India. Local scholars say that its original name was Ldumra (the valley of
flowers).
Pangong Tso,
Tibetan for "high grassland lake", also referred to as Pangong Lake,
is an endorheic lake in the Himalayas situated at a height of about 4,350 m. It
is 134 km long and extends from India to China.

After
reaching Leh airport (on your own), you will be greeted by our representative
and transferred to the hotel for check-in. Spend the day in the hotel for rest
and acclimatization. Visit Shanti Stupa and Leh market in the evening.
Overnight stay in Leh
After
breakfast, proceed for sightseeing on the Leh – Srinagar Highway. Visit the
Hall of Fame This is a museum maintained by the Indian Army showcasing their
strength during the different wars fought, Kali Mata Temple & Gurudwara
Patthar Sahib supposed to be built to mark the visit of Guru Nanak Dev to this area.
Proceed further and experience the effects of Magnetic Hill which is set to
defy the law of gravity and admire the confluence of holy Indus & Zanskar. Return back to Leh for an overnight
stay
After
breakfast, drive to Nubra Valley (Known as the Valley of Flowers and the
warmest region in Ladakh) via Khardungla pass. This road is considered to be
the highest motorable road of the world. En route, admire the spectacular views
of the never ending snow-capped mountain ranges around Khardungla Pass (18,390 feet)
After spending some time at Khardungla, proceed to Nubra. After Hotel check-in,
enjoy Camel Safari in the evening. Overnight stay in Nubra.
We will start
the day following the same route towards Leh till we reach Khalsar. From the
Agyam bridge, we will take the left route which leads us to the villages of
Shyok and Durbuk. The route is scarcely used for commuting so you will not find
any heavy traffic on any day. Some patches are bad but the experience will be
great. The road after Shyok is good but very steep. After Durbuk, take left
towards Tangtse and follow the traditional route. Drive further to Pangong Lake
one of the largest and most beautiful natural brackish lakes in the Himalayas.
Situated at 14000 ft, more than half of the lake is within Chinese Territory
and only one third part lies in India. Explore the lake area, might catch some
rare wildlife.
After
breakfast, travel back to Leh. En route take a short halt at Changla Pass to
enjoy a cup of hot steaming tea. Visit Hemis Monastery, Thiksey Monastery, Shey
Palace and return back to Leh. Overnight stay in Leh
After
breakfast, get transferred to Leh Airport for boarding the flight to your
destination. Tour Concludes with some wonderful long lasting memories
