Who can apply Swiss Tourist visa?

• If your stay in Switzerland is more than any other Schengen country, then you can apply for Switzerland Schengen tourist visa
• If your stay in Switzerland and other Schengen country is equal but your first entry point in Schengen area is Switzerland, then you can apply for Switzerland Schengen tourist visa.

Important Points

• All documents should be in A4 size paper including bank statements
• You should not have any cuts or Mehandi on your fingers and palms as you shall not be able to give correct biometric at VFS.

Documents required

• Original passport with minimum validity of three months before the date of return
• Old passport if any
• Minimum two pages in the passport should be empty
• Updated bank statement
• FD receipts / Mutual Fund statement etc etc if available
• Proof of vaccination
• Your final dose of vaccine should not be older than 270 days from your date of return
• Swiss EU-DCC - European Union Digital Covid Certificate

Photo Specifications

• Three coloured photographs with matt finish, 80% face coverage and background should be white.
• Photo size should be 35 mm x 45 mm and should be without borders
• Photos should not be more than 6 months old.
• Please check specimen photos with us.

Salaried Person

• Income Tax papers for last 3 years - Acknowledgement page / Form 16
• Leave sanction letter
• Covering letter should be in original on plain A4 size paper.

Business or Self-Employed

• Personal income tax papers for last 3 years
• Company income tax papers for last 3 years
• Original latest updated company bank statement for last three months
• Proof of occupation such as - Company Registration Certificate / Certificate of Incorporation / Proof of Proprietorship
• Certificate of education in case of doctor / Lawyer / CA
• Covering letter should be in original on a business letterhead

Retired and Housewife

• Personal income tax papers for last 3 years
• Retirement certificate + pension statement for last 3 months with bank seal and sign.
• Covering letter should be in original on plain A4 size paper.
• If husbands name is not mentioned in wife's passport or vice versa then submit photocopy and original marriage certificate

Honeymoon Couple

• If marriage certificate is not available [in most of the cases it is not possible] then wedding card.
• Original wedding card
• Covering letter should be in original on a plain A4 size paper or business letterhead.
• Sponsorship letter if required [Format is available with us]

Travel documents

• Air tickets and if applicable intra Schengen flight, train itinerary or car rental details.
• Hotel confirmation for the entire period of stay in Schengen area.
• Overseas Travel insurance as per exit date from India till entry date in India.

Time Taken for visa

Minimum 08 to 10 working days after submission and may vary depending upon consulate.

As applications are being accepted only through appointment, we advise you to send your application well in advance so that we can arrange for an appointment for timely processing of your visa.

If biometrics is done earlier, we can submit the case on your behalf by prior appointment with VFS.
