Shillong is a capital city of Meghalaya. This is at a height of 1500 mtrs above sea level. This is also known as Rock capital of India as it is famous for various rock bands of India. Cherrapunjee and Mawlynnong are two most important excurisons that can be done from Shillong. Shillong is 3-4 hrs [140kms] away from Guwahati. Cherapunjee is 2 hrs / 60 kms and Mawlynnong is 3 hrs / 80kms away.

On arrival at Guwahati Airport / Railway Station & transfer to Shillong. Enroute visit Umium Lake, a majestic placid lake with its surrounding sylvan hills. On arrival at Shillong, check in at your hotel. Evening roam the Shillong famous Police Bazar on foot. Overnight stay at Shillong. Note: Sightseeing could only get incorporated if guest arrives in morning.
After breakfast drive to Mawlynnong – “Asia’s Cleanest Village”. Mawlynnong offers many interesting sights such as the living root bridge and another strange natural phenomenon of a boulder balancing on another small rock. After village visit drive to Dawki. (Dawki Lake is 1800 Mts height and 30 Kms / 90 mins drive) and visit border area. Drive back to Shillong for overnight stay.
Note - It is advisable to carry packed lunch.
After breakfast visit Don Bosco Museum & Ward’s Lake. After that drive to Kaziranga. Arrive and check in at hotel. Overnight stay at Kaziranga.
After breakfast go for Elephant Ride / Jeep Safari (subjected to availability & operational condition, on direct payment basis) to one Range. After lunch go for Jeep Safari (subjected to availability & operational condition,on direct payment basis) to the other Range. Overnight at Kaziranga.
Important note:
1. Entry ticket & Jeep safari are all regulated and controlled by the forest Dept. Govt. of Assam. We do not have any control on the booking of entry ticket & Jeep safari.
2. Elephant rides are conducted and controlled by the forest department. We cannot confirm the same in advance. The ticket counter for booking opens only in the evening, one day prior to the ride. Only after securing the tickets, we can confirm the ride for you.
After breakfast drive to Guwahati Airport / Railway Station for your onward connection. Your tour ends with great memories to cherish.
